Khadlaj Panache’s opening begins with a brief mandarin’s zest, not overpowering but enough to imbue the fragrance with an alluring energy. The main attraction of this perfume reveals itself pretty quickly. A fruity top, flowing with mandarin’s and redcurrant’s juicy sweetness, interwined with a floral edge that gives it a soft and elegant texture befitting of the name angel dust.
As the fragrance descends, the sweet florals can still be smelt; however, a boozy kick revitalises the energy and adds a lingering freshness that persists with each sniff of the aroma. This is backed by sandalwood. Think less ‘bark from a tree’ but more ‘smooth mahogany’ than blends with the rum to give a richer sillage.
The base carries a warm and soft base created especially with vanilla and benzoin. Whipped Cream gives you a taste of gourmand without fully committing to a dessert-like taste.
